Introduction

Hello and thank you for your interest in Armor Steel Buildings! Today, I will be guiding you through a tour of our manufacturing facility. Armor Steel Buildings are truly manufactured to the highest standards and quality that a customer could expect. In today's competitive marketplace for a steel building company to actually provide the highest quality products, service and prices, it requires a phenomenal amount of commitment and capital in top of the line computer aided drafting, engineering, and fabricating equipment and software; as well as acquiring the most experienced and knowledgeable employees available. We ensure that Armor Buildings don't just meet, but exceed industry standards down to the smallest detail.

Armor Steel Buildings are broken down into the following categories of construction: The primary framing system, secondary framing systems, sheeting trim and hardware; to include the nations best designers, engineers, customer service and delivery fleet.

Plant Location

Armor's Steel's primary plant is located in Ambridge, PA. We work very vigorously to create the highest quality product at the lowest possible price for you, our valued customer.

Pre-manufacturing

Before the actual manufacturing process can begin, your building will go through a series of check points and verifications to prevent mistakes in the finished product.

Paperwork

First the factory staff will ensure that all of the design codes, snow wind and seismic codes, ect. comply with your contract. The order is then inputted into the Master Permit Schedule where it will be put on the timeline so that all any deadlines are met.

Metal Building Design and CAD Software

Next, all of your building information is input into MBS. This is the software in which the engineer inputs the design data and generates Anchor Bolt drawings that help determine you foundation requirements. This program also creates engineered shop drawings for the framing of your building.

Engineering/Drafting

Your building is then off to the engineering department. Each of our factory engineers are certified in multiple states, including the state where your building will be erected. The engineer will once again check the building order for accuracy. The permit or production drawings are then produced and stamped by the engineer and then can be used to secure the proper permits for your building.

Ready for manufacturing

After visiting the booking and drafting departments, your building is put into the master computer program which coordinates all of the computer aided equipment used to fabricate your building. Your building is now ready for manufacturing!

Coils and Plasma Cutter

Throughout the entire manufacturing process, quality control checks will be made to guarantee that your building is perfect. 100% American made materials, manufactured by experienced craftsmen and watched over by a dedicated staff of professionals from start to finish. What more could we ask for?

Shipping

When the scheduled time for the shipping of your building arrives; it will be carefully loaded onto a truck, taking special precautions so that your building order is complete and precise.
